bow head

I'm still trying to find my groove, as far as having a daughter. I'm so used to looking for fire trucks and toy trains when I'm shopping, and it's still a bit of a shock to me that I actually have a little lass for whom I can buy pretty, frilly, ruffly, girlie things.

Which is why it's so fabulous that a "Luxury Boutique" for hair bows exists -- yea for Bubbly Bows!

Sure, my little girl still has no hair, other than a few little soft blonde wispies on top. But look out world! She's going to have the most adorable head of bow-adorned hair once the time comes.

I've already purchased the crawfish. I mean, how could I not? What self-respecting little girl doesn't need a crawfish hair bow?

turning butter into beer

... well, sorta.

Our next-door-neighbors invited us to a "garage" birthday party this weekend (their garage is pretty sweet, by the way) . I made the birthday boy (Dan) some cookies to chug, er, chew.

No flowers. No pink. No bunnies. No polka dots.

Just beer. And cookies.

:: waking up ::

Although it's still chilly, it seems as though Spring has finally arrived to New England, and it's such a welcomed sight.

Here are some seasonal signs of the new season taken from around the yard.

I am however, still waiting for my tulips to rise and shine ....

easter cookies

I put together a cookie basket for an auction ('The Easter Bunny is Coming to Breakfast in Hampton'), benefiting Aidan's preschool.

I wanted bright colors, not pastels, so I guess these aren't your traditional Easter cookies -- I also traded in chicks and bunnies and lambs for hearts and flowers (yes, the flowers are making a return/encore appearance).

But there are eggs. And there is a basket.
