{ it's never too early for halloween }

Lighted Witch Hats
Whimsical Witch Hats
I've frequently shared my love for all things fall ... and all things Halloween. I've also written about y passion for RAZ decorations. Their Christmas ornaments and decor are divine, but I think I love their Halloween stuff the best. Trendy Tree (Pence Christmas Tree Farm) has the best RAZ inventory I've been able to find -- and their customer service is awesome.

So each year when the new inventory is available, I get a little giddy on the inside.

Lighted Skeleton Heads on a Stick
Yes, it's almost June. Yes, summer is just beginning. But a girl can still dream of fall leaves, crisp nights, pumpkins, apple cider donuts, ghosties and goblins, no?

Here are some of my favorites from the 2012 RAZ Halloween collection. Now, please don't go and buy out all the cute stuff, y'all, ok?

{ haunted cookies }

Spooky sweets for some little goblins (aka, kindergartners).

Happy Halloween, friends! Eat, drink, and make scary.

{ sugar skulls }

Some Halloween, mixed with some Dia de los Muertos.

These were super fun to make!

{ pumpkin land }

Pumpkin Land in Mechanic Falls, Maine.

Last year when we made the same trek, Paige was only a few weeks old and swaddled in blankets. This year, she was climbing on pumpkins, toddling through the corn maze, and petting the animals in the barn.

Aidan, as he did last year, took the most direct route straight to the vintage fire truck that was parked on the edge of the farm.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

carving jack

"The chief part of the stories, however, turned upon the favorite spectre of Sleepy Hollow, the Headless Horseman, who had been heard several times of late, patrolling the country; and, it was said, tethered his horse nightly among the graves in the churchyard." -- Washington Irving, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

spookie cookies

An annual tradition!

We made cookie treats for Big A's preschool Halloween party. It was a group effort -- Aidan did the stickers, Ty helped tie the ribbon, and I supervised the entire affair. ;)

vampire wine society

Just in time for Halloween ... here's a club where the dues are worth every penny. The Vampire Wine Society is comprised of "enthusiasts, friends and family of Vampire Vineyards family of wines."

For $105, buyers get four shipments per year that include a combination of Vampire, Dracula, Chateau du Vampire, and Trueblood wines (plus a bunch of other fun perks).

If you've never tried a wine from Vampire Vineyards, you're missing out. I was introduced to my first bottle several years ago when Costco carried it, and I've been a fan ever since.

Deliciously vampy. :)

early halloween finds

... a spooky peek at all the fall fun that's right around the corner (woohoo!).

Some of my favorites so far from Grandin Road, Pottery Barn Kids, and Yankee Candle.
