it's been a long while...

... since Robert Pattinson has made an appearance on this blog -- way too long.

So, in anticipation of the release of his upcoming movie, Water for Elephants with Reese Witherspoon (love her!), I thought it was time to add some yummy RPattz goodness to brighten the day of all red-blooded females (and undoubtedly some males) on the planet.

And now, for your viewing pleasure, Robert Pattinson making things prettier in scenes from Water for Elephants.

Delish.

And, you're welcome.

breaking dawn

Robert Pattinson officially let it leak that Breaking Dawn is in the works.

Q: Have you been told a tentative time that you might film Breaking
Dawn?

Rob: I think the tentative for Breaking Dawn is Fall of next year. I
think. They may well change that.

Here's a [fan-made] picture of the Cullen Family, post-Bella transformation.

So fun!

lord, have mercy

Robert Pattinson, Vanity Fair, 2009. Talk about an early Christmas present. I mean, the expression on his face -- he knows he's killing us.

Cant ... stop ... looking.

some wolf goodness with a cherry on top

So I haven't made any Twilight comments in a while (despite the fact that Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson were caught smooching at a Kings of Leon concert a few nights ago) ... so here's the trailer that's debuting in front of the movie BANDSLAM. Thanks to HitFix for the link.

doesn't get much better

Anyone who has ever read my blog, or even remotely knows me, is probably aware of my Twilight addiction ... and I'm not talking the teeny bopper lust over Rob Pattinson or Taylor Lautner either (although I could eat both of those boys with a spoon) -- I'm talking about the Twilight story.

For several reasons that I've stated and written about in the past, the plot, setting and characters of Stephenie Meyer's now famous series is very special to me (thanks, Bella B!). So spending my summer vacation this year in Twilight land (aka Forks, Washington) is better than any Carribbean cruise or European tour.

The vampire and werewolf capitalists in this area have definitely taken advantage of the market -- seems like every local establishment in the general Forks vicinity has at least one store corner dedicated to Twilight. It's funny and worthy of a few snapshots.

But the absolute best part of being up here is the stunning beauty of the land and the ocean. It's powerful and gorgeous, and exactly how I imagined it, only better. When the clouds roll in over the mountains in the distance, I close my eyes and almost see Edward's shiny Volvo pulling in the drive. And driving out to La Push and spending time on the beach is almost a religious experience!

At night, I curl up with a Meyer novel (right now I'm reading Eclipse for the fourth time) and smile. There's just something magical reading about the Treaty Line and knowing that it's right outside my door. So, so cool.

Spending time with my son and hubby is priceless and second-to-none. Our little family is together and whole, if only temporarily. So far, Aidan's biggest thrill has been throwing rocks into the tidepools and rivers. However, there have been countless times this trip that I've also wished my Twilight girls were here with me. It's a giddy experience meant to be shared.

As much as I've resented Forks for the past year or so, I'm learning to enjoy and appreciate it's secrets and charm. The people are friendlier than I imagined, and the natural beauty surpasses any postcard.

So far, pretty damn good.

a girl can only take so much!

I mean, REALLY!

What's a completely, inappropriately obsessed Twilight addict to do when so much yummy vampire goodness is released for our viewing pleasure?!

This week was a dream for Team Edward fans. The New Moon cast and crew are in Italy filming the Edward/Bella reunion and Volturi scenes, and tons of pictures of the filming were captured.

Christmas in May! No, wait. Much better.

I love you, Mr. Mailman!

A few days earlier than I'd expected, I just received quite the package (in more ways than one!) -- my Twilight DVD and calendar! Yippee!!!

So, now the big question is, how do I get rid of my hubby for a few hours when he's home on leave to see me?

I seriously need some "alone" time with Edward.... ;)

I still haven't even broken into the cellophane wrapping. I'm content right now just staring at it.

Sad, pathetic, adolescent, and ridiculous, I know. But so, so true.

Robert Pattinson "I Don't Know"

In honor of my favorite Vampire ... (and the Twilight DVD release this week).

Why am I so obsessed with Rob? He answers the question in this YouTube clip.

Gentlemen's Quarterly

The April cover is out.

**swoon**

Love the title ... "ROBERT PATTINSON IS HERE: HIDE YOUR DAUGHTERS"

(how 'bout your wives?)

the perfect combo

Robert Pattinson, a tuxedo, and total, unpretentious charm.

Quite the package.

Rob was a hit at the Oscars last night. Our friendly Forks vampire cleans up pretty good, doesn't he?

My heart was jump-started again

I finally saw Twilight.

I never thought I'd have that heart-racing feeling during the movie like I had when reading the series for the first time. But I did. It might not have been a technical or special effects master piece (to put it kindly), but what it was was exactly what made me fall in love with the book to begin with -- a perfectly intense love story about two imperfect beings.

I loved that it was cheesy. I loved that I already knew what would happen in the end. The fun of it all was feeling it again, and seeing my favorite characters play it all out on screen. The sexual tension between Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) was hot! Totally hot. I joked with a friend of mine that I needed a cigarette after sitting through it!

And speaking of Robert Pattinson, can I just say, damn! He's absolutely the perfect Edward. Out of respect for my husband and for my marriage vows, I'll refrain from saying anything more than that. :)

So it's time to read the whole series again. My heart needs it. In the words of Edward Cullen, it's my own heroin. And maybe I can look at it through fresh eyes again, now that I have some faces in my mind.

God, I can't wait for Stephenie to release Midnight Sun. And I'm anxiously anticipating my next Cullen fix on the big screen when New Moon comes out next year.
