so, so good

I didn't go see the midnight showing on opening night, but I just couldn't let the first weekend that New Moon was out in theaters go by without sneaking in to a showing.

And I SO wasn't disappointed.

Damn. It was good. I laughed and I cried.

It rivaled the book (and that's hard to do). Bella wasn't nearly as annoying (I never wanted to shake her), and director Chris Weitz captured so much of the emotion. Bravo all around.

I went with my sister Christine. She snagged us tickets ahead of time at a Movie Tavern in Houston. So we enjoyed a pitcher of cold beer and some munchies while we watched -- that never hurts.

I can't wait to see it again.

So I haven't made any Twilight comments in a while (despite the fact that Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson were caught smooching at a Kings of Leon concert a few nights ago) ... so here's the trailer that's debuting in front of the movie BANDSLAM. Thanks to HitFix for the link.

What's a completely, inappropriately obsessed Twilight addict to do when so much yummy vampire goodness is released for our viewing pleasure?!

This week was a dream for Team Edward fans. The New Moon cast and crew are in Italy filming the Edward/Bella reunion and Volturi scenes, and tons of pictures of the filming were captured.

Christmas in May! No, wait. Much better.

I finished Twilight

OK. So it was GOOD. Mom is reading it now. I'm trying to convince Ty that he needs to also before the movie comes out. Not only that, he's going to have to be our tour guide and point out the important Twilight landmarks when we're up there visiting.

Next up -- book number two in the series -- New Moon. Very addicting set of characters, for sure.

And I'm still searching for the meaning these books are supposed to have for me ... because I'm convinced there is one. It may be as simple as I'll no longer look at the Forks/La Push thing in such a loathing fashion. Who knows.

Now, on to chapter one ... I have to see if Bella gets eaten by all six of the vampires.
